How challenging was this project for you?
This project wasn't challenging at all. Reading a book and then writing reading responses was pretty easy. The video was also easy because all I had to do was research why the book 1984 was banned and read an excerpt from it.
What was the easiest part of this project?
The easiest part of this project was probably actually reading the book.
How comfortable did you feel while making your film?
I felt pretty comfortable making the film because I knew what I was talking about but I didn't feel comfortable with the video being shown to everyone. I also had to make multiple takes because I kept messing up.
Did you receive critique and feedback from anyone (teacher, parent, classmate, etc)? If so, who? Was the feedback helpful? (This could be for any part of the project, journal, or video)
I didn't receive any feedback from anyone on this because we didn't have any time specified for giving feedback.
Did you provide kind, specific, and helpful feedback in the journal workshops? Were these sessions helpful and/or fun?
No because we didn't get together to give feedback to anyone on this.
Did you actually read the book you chose?
Yes I did read the book I chose, I read 1984 by George Orwell.
What grade do you think you deserve? Why?
I believe I deserve an A on this because I read my book and did what was required for this. I wrote the journals and made the video about why my book was banned. The journals helped me analyze my book better and go into depth with what I read.
If you could change something about this project, what would it be?
I don't think we should have done the video for this project, it seemed redundant and the fact that it was for the banned book day and not actually something that was part of our project adds to this.
